acai antioxdiant juiceAcai anti oxidant juice has been getting a heck of a lot hype these days. The question is this though - is it just "hype" or do these tiny little berries really have magical anti-aging powers?

In their defense, they are yummy, as is the juice. They're also said to be packed with a TON of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and proteins.

But, is it more than you'd find in a regular blueberry?

Apparently yes. The media is touting that these berries are even more nutrient rich than strawberries, blueberries, or any other berry.

Interesting. Right!?

BUT....

Will Acai Anti Oxidant Juice Help You Win the War on Wrinkles

We all know that antioxidants for antiaging are great. But I can't help but wonder if this is acai juice stuff is just hype. Can a simple juice really keep these little crows feet from developing into wrinkles?

I'm all for a natural approach so of course I was hopeful about learning that the answer was a definitive yes. But, unfortunately I haven't really found anything other than hype.

So what does "the law" say then?

The FDA's Opinion on Acai Berry Juice

Before getting into FDA's view on acai berry juice I feel I need to say that I'm not a fan of the FDA. I'm pretty sure they're strong-armed or paid-off by big business.

Despite the fact that I'm skeptical, I feel that it's only responsible of me to share their view here.

The FDA states that they haven't approved this fruit for the treatment of any ailments - including anti-aging/anti-wrinkle treatments.

Do we believe them?

So, Is there any point in drinking Acai Juice?

I do think that eating the berry or drinking the juice of this fruit would be good for you.

It is actually very healthy and does provide a lot of antioxidants - which is proven excellent for anti wrinkle AND anti aging. It's just that you'd need to drink a ridiculous amount of it to really get enough antioxidants.

Why?

Most acai anti oxidant juice brands are made mostly of apple juice and sugar. Not only is it not healthy, but there's more apple that Acai in most Acai berry juices. Need I say more?

How to determine the good juices from the bad?

If Acai is the first ingredient on the list, you're probably getting a juice with more acai than apple. It's also a good idea too look for brands where sugar, sucrose, or fructose is at the bottom of the list or not on there at all.
