I don't have any hard and fast secrets or cures for getting rid of wrinkles. I think any such methods are probably temporary and the wonderful effects disappear after one stops using the miracle product!
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
There are a few rules I've followed religiously over the years and it really has worked well for me.
1. Don't smoke. It causes nasty lines around the mouth. Smoking also sucks large amounts of Vit. C and other goodies from the body that your skin needs to stay healthy. I don't know that I've ever seen a smoker with 'great skin'. It causes the water to be drawn from the cells as well which in the end, results in wrinkles and dryness.
2. Drink as much water as you're able. Water plumps up the cells period. If your body is starved for water, it'll get the water it needs by sucking your body dry for what it needs to function. It'll take from your skin.
3. Balanced diet can't be stressed enough, ESP. fresh fruit and vegetables. I know you've heard it a thousand times, but it really is necessary. Fruit and veg. naturally have lots of water in them, too.
4. Don't touch your face excessively. Sounds silly but true. Don't sit at your desk, with your hand supporting your head, and mush your face up! Doing this for years will cause folds to be there that really shouldn't be! Why create more problems!
5. Keep the skin's surface hydrated by protecting it with a decent quality cream, from the elements. The skin will loose lots of moisture at the surface. Sun, wind and dry air will draw moisture from the surface, so protect it always.
These things really do work. I'm not a believer in expensive creams etc. Some work pretty well, but take them away and you've got issues all over again. I like a great quality skin care, always have had a weakness for it, but the above rules must accompany a good skin care regime for long term success!
